When I think donuts, I think Bob's. But, Starbuck's glazed donut is really great.

This is a busy Starbucks! Very fast service with the addition of a headset-clad gal taking my order right after I walked in the door this morning. By the time I paid my drink was ready. Decent tables and seats for people watching.

Starbucks is delicously delicious. The staff is always warm and friendly. They have never messed up my order. I love this Starbucks. you should get a coffee or tea from there right now...

This is my absolute favorite Starbucks location (and believe me, I've been to a LOT of Starbucks all over this world). I used to work down the street and would come here every day. After a few weeks, the kind employees knew my name and my drink order without asking. I even met my ex-boyfriend in the doorway. I like to think it has some magical powers. Go check it out - you never know what might happen!

if youve been to san francisco youve probably been to starbucks, but this particular one is across the street from my school and the folks here are great. they're way friendly to us that need to get our coffee/tea/goodies in the time span of our break which is 10 minutes (depending on the instructor) anyways, the eggs florentine sandwich is soooo yummy and i got this veggie platter with pesto sauce...mmmmhmmm it was really fresh and perfect for my "somewhat diet" the next time you're walking by this starbcks choose this one to get your drink at, they're pretty cool there

coffee for me is a recent addiction...specifically the Carmel Macchiato (insert angelic choir here). So I guess you could say I like hot sugar in the morning with a dash of coffee. Well the folks at this fine starfucks are onto me...I walk in the door and they are already making my drink...yes I'm on a first name basis with these folks and god love them for it! Bless the manager's heart, Dina, for she even comp'd me a cup of joe during one of my stressed out, tearful wedding planning moments (which of course generated even more tears). I don't care what anyone else says, I love Starfuck's!

I know, Starbucks is evil, blah, blah, blah... but I happen to really like their coffee. And this particular location is one of my favorites. In the mornings, I always hesitate to stop for coffee because I'm scared of missing the bus to Hercules, but they are surprisingly efficient here. Even when there are 8 people in front of me in line, I'm in and out in under 5 minutes. And they've never (knock on wood) messed up my drink order.

This Starbucks defies the laws of physics: The longer the line, the sooner you're out of there, coffee in hand.

Was compelled to create an account just so I could review this place. I come here every morning, five days a week. Most of those days, Jonathan (a true gem) has my drink ready before I reach the register. He, and the rest of the staff are super quick, friendly, and efficient...quite the feat considering how many customers they serve on any given weekday.

I don't often go to Starbucks, but when I do, I drink Dos Equis. Wait, I mean I went today with some co-workers. This Starbucks was surprisingly not packed, which was nice. There was no line to speak of so we ordered and received our drinks pretty quickly. Iced green tea was cold, green, and slightly bitter as expected. We sat at the community style table with a couple people working diligently on their laptops, one of which was propped up to eye-level on top of two Amazon Prime boxes. The atmosphere was very relaxed, music was quiet, air was conditioned. It was nice to spend some time inside of a dimly lit air conditioned room in the middle of a pretty hot day (a room that was not my office). As we sat drinking our drinks and chatting, I played around with the latest gimmick found in Starbucks (Starbuckses? What's the plural of Starbucks?) being little dongles for any iPhone or Android phone, allowing you to charge them wirelessly if you placed the dongle on top of a small circle on the table that looked much like an electric burner. It only worked with one phone at a time (no stacking of dongles) but there were several on the long community table. This was appreciated twofold, in that my phone was dying so I needed battery, and that it only charged if it was sitting on top of the charger so I wasn't distracted using my phone. I had a pretty nice time at Starbucks.

The associates were nice, friendly and helpful. They had to work over Labor Day weekend but still have a good attitude. Thumbs up for that. This store has a unique feature that I've never seen before, it's called Powermat. There are several attachments to accommodate a variety of cell phone models and charge your phone for free. Maybe this is a Cali thing or a San Fran thing, I'm not sure. It was nice. See pic.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks! It's not the newest kid on the block (there's a new one right on the corner), but they have some of the coolest people working there. I can go to any Starbucks I want as they are everywhere, but I really like this one because of the people. I really appreciate good service and even when they are super busy here, they will give you a nice smile with your order. And I have never had problems redeeming my free rewards here though given how popular they are, they do run out of food in their case toward the end of the day.

Wow pretty awesome Starbucks. I'm not normally a Starbucks fan especially given the abundance of other great specialty coffee stores in FiDi, but I was capitalizing on a promotion from Starbucks on my morning commute. Since this store is the one right off of the Montgomery MUNI, this was the natural choice to go to. It's insane how many Starbucks are all cloistered within a block of each other in FiDi. Anyways the redeeming amazing point of this Starbucks is that it moves FAST. I had a line of about 15 people in front of me. By the time I paid, I waited 1 minute for my drink and I was out. Now that's speed and efficiency. I am definitely impressed. If I were in Hanover Starbucks (which is where I normally get my Starbucks fix from) it would literally take more than half an hour at that rate. tldr; your typical Starbucks though pretty large and also insanely fast at serving up drinks. it's awesome.

As part of my self negotiation that happens around 5:45am every morning, I tell myself that if I hurry up and get out of the house on time, I'll treat myself to Starbucks before getting on BART. I frequent both this location and the newer 100 Montgomery location. Both are good in terms of getting you in and out quickly AND getting your order right. The thing that stands out at this location is the super friendly employees. Even with a line 10 people deep (most anxiously glancing at the time calculating how many more minutes they have to make their train), they take the time to smile, greet you and never seem stressed out or make you feel rushed. I've never had the extra time to sit down in this location. But they do have a great mix of seating, from comfy chairs to a long table with the wireless phone charging & plenty of room for people need to work on their laptops or read a book. Great people make a great location!

I needed that caffeine fix and realized there is a Starbucks nearby after getting off BART at Montgomery Station. This is when I decided to come in! Clean spacious facility - this is definitely one of the spacious Starbucks. There are plenty of room to stand and seats available. The one item I enjoy is Venti Vanilla Latte from Starbucks, tried it hot and iced as well. Friendly staff members, positive first time experience here. I'll be back when I'm nearby.

Somehow my order always gets messed up here and my name butchered but I return because I keep getting gift cards and this is the location that is near. The coffee itself is horrible with so many choices that are better. I usually get the chai and a breakfast sandwich with cheddar. The line is long and they are busy but when you request something to be excluded. It would be nice to get what you paid for, but maybe that's too much or so I've concluded.

Quick service and the coffee did the trick. I'm from New Orleans, and a line like the one I stepped in at this Starbucks won't get you a coffee for at least 35 minutes, so this is coming from me. There had to have been at least 15 people in front of me. They were efficient, got my name, and, surprisingly didn't break my $5 into $1s to get a good tip. Sorry, New Orleans businesses (in general), you are notorious for doing this. My mocha was ready in about 6ish minutes, if that, and I was out the door. There was plenty of room to hang out if I wasn't just grabbing to-go, and I was a little envious of the bacon egg sandwich that was ordered by someone in front of me that came out just as fast as the coffees. By my New Orleans standards, they were very efficient for a morning brew!

My favorite Starbucks in all of San Francisco, especially on Saturday mornings & afternoons when its empty and quiet-perfect for studying. It's clean (including the bathroom!), has plenty of space to sit in so you can post up with some wifi, and friendly staff.

One of the roomiest Starbucks in the downtown area. Big table down the middle usually means a free seat, and I don't think I've ever had to wait long. Right next to Montgomery MUNI, so perfect meeting spot.

Highlights: - It definitely A LOT roomier than the one on 2nd St. that is a block or so away. And there is space to stand and not block the door if you are ever stuck in their long morning lines. It goes by pretty quick so don't freak out. - Plenty of seating with tables or bar area. - Good selection of goodies to buy. Tip: Come super early or after morning rush hours.

Today I went here for the 2 holiday lattes for price of one deal. When I got to the register ready to order, the cashier told me I can't get the deal because it wasn't 2. I looked down at my phone and saw that it was 1:57 pm. Fine, maybe they have some rule where they can't register the deal until it's 2 exactly. I bought a breakfast sandwich and stepped aside to wait for 3 minutes to pass. But then, the cashier pointed me out to the barista and said "shes waiting until 2 for the deal" and rolled her eyes. Obviously, I did not appreciate that so I left without getting the lattes. On a side note, I saw the manager yelling at a worker there right in front of me. Perhaps she should treat her workers better so they will, in turn, treat customers better. Also this Starbucks doesn't have the yummy vanilla powder to add to your latte. I will probably be moving to coffee bean.

I came in here around 1:45 pm today and it was completely deserted. Probably on account that it was SF Pride. No complaints with the lack of a line. I ordered my drink and it came out very quickly. The whip cream amount was a little skimpy but the consistency of the frap that I received was better than most so a few saved calories is overlooked in my book in this case. I had a nice conversation with the very friendly baristas during my visit. Look forward to coming back.

I usually do not review chains, but this Starbucks location deserves a glowing mention. Being in the Financial District, it is always super-busy in the mornings; the line typically goes out the door. However, the staff always appear upbeat, and most importantly, they get the long line of people served as fast as they can. I like how they employ one person to take food orders before one even reaches the register, so that the food can be heated and ready early on. There are a good number of tables and free Wi-fi, so that is another bonus. Just don't be one of those blockheads who spread out all your junk over 3 tables when getting work done here -- you know who you are. ;)

It takes superhuman strength to open the door so I no longer go here. There are so many good coffee shops in San Francisco that there is no need to struggle with the door every morning. The coffee and service are fine but I haven't been back in months.

Worst caramel macchiato I've ever had in my life. That says a lot because I'm pretty sure I've had over 300 caramel macchiatos in my lifetime. I'm actually pretty sure they didn't know what they heck they were doing..or they didn't know that "CM" at starbucks stands for Caramel Macchiato. Cashiers were great, fast. But the baristas were dropping the ball, left and right during the morning rush. Conveniently located next to the Montgomery BART station.. try not to come during the morning rush!!

I'm really not a fan. Of "commercial chains" I totally.... Support mom and pops places, Yet, not even I can deny the impact of "Starbucks" they have been friendly as-well as that have been convenient. I don't know how this chain got started, I think it has something to do with College kids + Seattle + Kenny G = Starbucks?! But Yeah, I appreciate it... It's like the hardworking unattractive mother of my best friend, she is always polite, doors always open for you, (open at 4am) and makes great "cake pops" and "sandwiches" even though you just wanted a cup of coffee, as well as the "Aprons" gosh the green aprons is a motherly touch. (Much love to you "Best friends mom!") I applauded Starbucks got me through my college years, of course across the table from you studying and the light-background music of "James Morrison" or "Sara Bareillies" playing above head.... You will look around and see the hapless, helpless, young man/woman studying for so "internship" or church-studies, (that was me) and even the typical line which is always packed to the "Happy-hour" crowd and different samples of weird stuff I might consider buying in the long run. God has blessed you Starbucks. Even though for doctor's reasons I am told I should have coffee.... and I had to get myself a restraining order for me not to come here. I appreciate you.... Esp when my coworkers give me those "Thank-you" Starbucks pity gift cards... Looks like Coffee, is on Mr. B! Jackpot!

Starbucks VIA Ready Brew ( starbucks.com/via ) Taste Test from October 2nd to October 5th! Okay, so who in their right mind is not going to (1) taste test coffee and (2) get free tall coffee for tasting?!? Probably all the anti-Starbucks people and Peets fans, right? Poor Starbucks guy was just standing there waiting as the morning rush just flooded in. As I came back after a disappointing trip to the florist (omg $40 for corsages!!! - no way!!); I walked right in and asked if anyone had came by. He said only three people came to test. The line of people was out the door to get drinks, so I told him I was pumped to try this new brew out. Wow amazingly I guessed the right one. There is a very subtle difference. And this coming from a person who rarely drinks coffee. I got my coupon as a thank you for tasting. Drank my tiny little cups of coffee. Picked up an Asiago bagel and (free) tall coffee and paid only $1.70 for it all. Awww I love Fridays!!

This is my weekday Starbucks and has for the last 2 years! The staff are sooo amazing and friendly. Kyle, Marisol, Amanda and ugh i cant believe i'm forgetting the others but everyone is so nice. My only 'complaint' is that they know my drink so well they practically start making it as I enter - which means i cant change it up every now and then! :) Thanks guys you ROCK!!!!

My Ratings: Quality: 4 - Good blend! Price: 4 - Same as others Location: 3 - Spacious with plenty of seats during rush hour. Parking: 2 - Street parking or garage Service: 4 - Good Speed: 4 - Quick despite the crowd Overall: I would go back to this spot again if I'm in the area. My Opinion/Story: Needed a wifi and empty seat during rush hour. I came across several other coffee shops and Starbucks but this one had plenty of seating choices. Service was nice and they made my order good. I can't complain! Plus it's close to BART station!

Best Starbucks place I've been! Even though it's always busy... The employees always make sure to get us in and out as fast as possible. They are always friendly no matter how busy it is. Great service! I have a wonderful experience each time I come in here. I always feel welcome.

This will be my first ever SB review...despite that I have easily been in & out of as many as 50 different SB across the country. Today was what I would say is the biggest no-no you can do is this type of business. Slack off when it's not morning rush. 10:08am I decided against my inner voice to step into the doors of the SB located on Montgomery Street which is really close to my work against my better judgment because I was already 8 minutes late to work, as it's not absolutely necessary to be exactly on time. I decided "it's Friday, I deserve a treat" and it couldn't take more than 5 minutes, so I'll go for it. Perfectly happy to wait behind the 5 or so people in front of me...I was at the end of the side and drink cooler so definitely worth the wait...not too bad of a line. Within 1 and a half minutes my order was taken, "cool, moving right along I thought". Then I stepped aside and waited patiently, orders coming up and people moving along. Still a few minutes pass, I am not worried or agitated, just patiently thinking about my day ahead of me. Several others that were behind me now getting their beverages, "hey wait a minute, I think they were behind me, wonder what's up with my drink"? A few more minutes pass and the whole group rush that came in as a pack after me have come and gone. So now I start to feel the voice wanting to come out and speak to someone. "how can I mention something and say it without sounding upset"? I start to look at the drink lineup to see where mine could be... I see the only Venti cup on the other side of the Barista which had been sitting there for an undetermined amount of time. He must have just noticed it too. Just as I was about to open my mouth and mention my drink might have been missed in the bustle he capped it off with a lid and put it up on the counter to receive. Oh well I decided and walked out noticing the big clock on the Chase building as it read 10:17!! So it took 10 minutes for an Americano because the staff weren't on guard and only one Barista was making drinks on a 2nd machine totally negating the other machine with the drinks sitting there getting cold on the other machine. I decided to write a review because this is what SB does, gets you in and out as fast as humanly possible, and they totally fell short of the overall objective, aside from enjoying a great cup of coffee. Oh well, even as I write this review now..I am not upset or boycotting this location. Perhaps just to let you know you can't slack off just because it's not 6 am and people aren't in as big of a rush. This cup of coffee could have cost me to be reprimanded or worse a write up if I wasn't working somewhere cool.

I just stop in this location whenever I'm craving Starbucks and it's convenient. Their chai tastes a little better than the Coffee Bean just down the street. However, I don't like the more crowded atmosphere and less than friendly service (not rude, just not friendly) of this SBUX compared to Coffee Bean, no less other SBUX throughout the Bay Area. Of course, a lot of the customers that come in here are type-A East Coast-wannabe types and the pretentious as according to South Park, so I guess that explains it. But, on the upside, because the lines are always long at this location, they are pretty fast.

The closest Starbucks to our office. We always come here for a mid afternoon coffee buzz. So addicting! The service is just okay at this location, although the flow is pretty good considering how busy it gets with all the Academy of Art students!,

I was in need of a skinny peppermint mocha yesterday and since I was walking back towards BART after a meeting, I decided this was a good place to stop! The line was a bit long but it was still morning time and it's something to expect when you walk into a Starbucks. I noticed while in line that there was a lot of seating; most of it taken up by men in suits with their colleagues and teenagers with their friends and smart phones. My boyfriend has offered to pick me up instead of having me take BART, so after ordering my holiday mocha I was able to snag a tall seat near the front door. I didn't mind, I had the table all to myself and was able to read my Self magazine in peace :] The staff was very friendly and made my drink quickly, my barista didn't even roll her eyes when I asked to reload my gold card then charge my coffee to it!! As a thank you to my boyfriend for the ride, I quickly ordered him a grande iced americano with no room, just the way he likes it, before I headed outside to meet him and the barista had it ready in no time. I will for sure come back to this location when I'm in the area. I love all the Christmas music they play too, I'm a total Christmas nerd; my tree is already up and decorated! It has been for almost a week now lol Free Wi-Fi for At&t users :] Love!

As busy as this place is they are here they always seem to get us in and out as quick as possible. The baristas are extremely friendly and know the regulars by name. Clonisha is always super friendly and they make my hot chocolate just how I like it! :)

I like Starbucks. This store is at the base of one of Montgomery Street's most distinctive multi-tenant buildings, a building I have visited frequently the past three months. Cool and quiet on the inside, with comfortable seating and tables, I have found this store to be a great place for a personal afternoon study hall. The lite rock on the sound system adds to the serenity. After buying coffee at three different places in SOMA recently, I recognize that I prefer the Starbucks grande nonfat latte.

This Starbucks is super convenient to the office, just an elevator button down away. This place gets super crowded, you will find people studying, people having meetings, people on Facebook, gamers, corporate folk and the like. It can be quite difficult to get a seat at this location since it is frequented by the individuals listed above. The baristas are friendly and patient. I ordered a Grande Peppermint Mocha, Non Fat Milk, No Whipped. Although I was expected the colorful holiday cup as expected at other locations, I got the boring white cup. I asked her why and she replied that they were cutting back?!?! Excuse me? Does Starbucks need to cut back when you are charging me a premium for this Grande? You are making huge profit! Maybe I am just bitter I got a less than festive cup but still. Not happy. I then proceeded to wait 10 minutes for one barista working behind the counter churn up my cup of goodness, which I feel is too long. Although understaffed and super busy, they were able to still give me a great cup, so there is still a redeeming factor.

I split my Starbucks visit between this one & the one on 2nd. This one has more room, seating and a big community table. When the line gets long, they have an efficient way to get your order started before you make it to the cashier. However, I noticed they switch responsibilities on their baristas a lot which is probably why the quality of their drinks are pretty inconsistent. I order my Green tea latte the exact same way everytime and I would say 6 out of 10 times it would hit jackpot. Sometimes the foam takes up 1/3 of my cup, sometimes it's really lacking the green tea flavor and sometimes they only fill it up 2/3 of the way. I know my drink isn't one of the more popular ones but if they sell "hand-crafted" drinks, they should be pretty consistent. Service wise, this location probably has the most friendly staff. They make eye contact, nice smile, keeps the area clean and thank you for your visit.

Stopped here because I was getting a headache because I didn't have enough time for my morning coffee that day. They were alright, nothing special. I snuck into the bathroom because I didn't feel like asking them for the code to unlock the bathroom... I got my usual, a venti carmel macchiato and it tasted like it always does, delicious. There seemed to be a rush at that time but we were in and out of there in about 10 minutes. I don't know why I gave this Starbucks three stars, I didn't strongly dislike anything about this particular Starbucks, I think I just don't particularly like Starbucks in general. Starbucks is also pretty pricey. I'd rather go to a small coffee shop that isn't a chain, but I was in desperate need for a LARGE coffee.

This is my Starbucks! The greatest thing about this Starbucks is that its right next door to my building. I am only exposed to the outside elements for about 15 steps and then into safety of Starbucks. Most of the baristas/ employees know me and/or my drink by heart since it is quite complex for some odd reason. I've seen this Starbucks go thru a number of personnel changes but it hasn't affected the drinks or the service.

When Gwynnie P. says, "Jump," I ask, "How high?"* Therefore, at her urging to sample the breakfast sammies @ Starbucks before they're gone forever this autumn, I ordered a sausage one today. Yeah-yeah, we all know I hate coffee and find Starbucks' chai way too sweet, but this was a helluva good meal. It would be in their best interest to keep these oven-toasted bad boys on, as they're quite large and very tasty for a mere $2.95. *For the record, when *I* say, "Jump" to Gwynners, her response is usually, "Why?" Clearly, I'm just plain flat-out in love with her.

This is the Starbucks I typically frequent as it is located across the street from where I work. Today, I was addressed by my name for the first time at a Starbucks... which is (1) highly impressive given how uncommon my name is and it being maybe the third time this particular Starbucks guy has assisted me in the store; and (2) somewhat frightening that my Starbucks coffee drinking has escalated to the point where the coffee shop knows my name. I guess I would be more ashamed if a bar I frequented considered me a regular and knew my name. Pros: The line here is typically short, and the service impeccably quick. Even on occasions the line is rather long, it moves quickly. Cons: There were a few times over the summer where the baristas completely botched my order. I'm guessing these were students with a summer job, who lacked complete experience because that is the only time I have had issues at this location. During one visit I ordered a grande iced coffee, and the barista served me a tall. When I pointed out the discrepancy, she dumped the coffee into a grande cup, filled with more ice and topped it off with more milk!!

Having been into starbucks for years and years, having my own drink picked out in my head before I even walk in the door does not alter how I feel about this particular starbucks. This starbucks is less about the line, or the study groups, or the abundance of Facebook profiles open on apples. Its not about the coffee or how fresh your bagel is. Its about the people, the people at this Starbucks are AMAZING, I work in a pretty dreary corporate job in the same building, I come to this starbucks at least twice a day for an escape. Marissa and her crew are hilarious, especially kyle and sandy. They make me laugh, they converse with me, and generally uplift my spirits regardless of how long the line is. So all of you people can hate on whatever you want, but give this place a chance, and I swear you will forget about all the Blue Bottle Snobbery, and peetz upper crust attitude, and start visiting this location more often. -B

It gets crazy crowded (as with all FiDi Starbucks) but the staff are the nicest of any location I have ever visited. Perhaps it is because I come by there every day but the staff all know me by name, and are always superfriendly, esp. Amanda and Kyle. Oh and Amanda--don't make me throw my food at you, girl! LOL

More tables that most cafes around here, so it's a good meeting spot, and the staff is really nice. Yes...they messed up my order once too, like another reviewer here...but I got a free drink for my trouble...so call it even. I mostly like it because there are a lot of tables. Everything else (drinks, music, food, decor, long line) is exactly like every other Starbucks, so you can fill in the rest for yourselves...

Shame on you Starbucks! Walking past this location, on the other side of the street, I hear someone yelling so loudly it interrupts my blaring iPod......when I turn to see who is causing all that commotion, I see one of the SB employees literally THROWING around a homeless guy Homeless guy: crawling along the sidewalk, trying to get away SB employee: yanking the back of his sweatshirt to pick him up, only to throw him back down on the ground - yelling all the time Finally, another SB employee comes out of the store & leads the hostile guy back into the store & away from the poor homeless guy who slinked away in utter & complete humiliation Now obviously I don't know what transpired to lead up to these events but that's not even the point. No one, especially an employee who is "representing" their place of business, should take it upon themselves to resort to violence.....call the police before it escalates to this level! Onto the Soap Box: In this day & age of hostility & hatred, shouldn't we be taking the high road & treating everyone w/ respect?! If things get out of hand, contact the appropriate people to handle the situation while maintaining your dignity & that of the "offenders" too....ever heard of the Golden Rule?!?! Shame - absolutely for shame on you Starbucks!

The best Starbucks I been to - by far. I was here for the first time when I had an interview upstairs at 44 Montgomery. The cashier was definitely the most enthusiastic ever. Clean environment for small social meetings or coffee breaks in the financial district.

They have never gotten my order right on a busy work day. NEVER. And if they do, they NEVER spell my name right. It's on my credit card, for goodness' sake!

This has become my favorite Starbucks location. (Probably due to the fact that it's the most conveniently located one to my office. However, I've frequented other Starbucks locations and they were not my "favorites".) Everyone working there provides great service and consistent drinks (which, unfortunately, is not true of all locations).

I was a regular at this location for over a year. Store Manager Marissa had a great crew (Kyle, Oatmeal, Sandy, Maricel, etc.). She left and we miss her, but the crew is still awesome. After not visiting in 2-3 months, Oatmeal still remembered my name AND drink specifics! Love ad miss you guys! Xoxo

Girl behind the counter always gets the orders wrong or goes insanely slow whilst talking to other staff members. I'd give it 1 star if it wasn't the fact that it is starbucks, and they do have good coffee. Only reason why people go here is because it's a convienent location. Other locations or coffeeshops are better, i avoid this place. Everytime someone goes here that i know- they claim they'll never go back for the same reasons

Anyone that fucks with this Starbucks has to answer to me. And trust me, you don't want to go there. I'm nuts. And a tad ghetto. Everyone that works here is super cool and super nice. I also feel like they play the best music. There was one memorable morning where New Order's "Age of Consent" came on and I just lost it. I'm listening to it right now just to get that feeling back. So lovely. And then there was this one time where they forgot my bagel order. Not a big deal at all. They gave me a coupon for a free drink of my choice. That's way too generous. If I had tons of money, I would come here every day. But I'm poor as fuck so I have to deal with special Starbuck visits.

This location is awesome - the baristas are fassssssst. I wonder what they drink? I need some of that! Sometimes, I have coffee dates here. But I also ALWAYS ALWAYS manage to get the disabled table aka the biggest table. There are never any open chairs or booths or regular tables for me. And I'm not physically disabled, so I feel bad hogging it. The table doesn't say anything about being mentally disabled, though..so maybe i do have an excuse. Tall, light whip toffee nut latte. Any drink with the word "nut" in its name really can't go wrong, can it? Well, I don't know what you're thinking, but at Starbucks, you can't go wrong with a toffee nut latte..especially when you're sitting at the biggest table.

Friendly service, but a bit on the slow side. Every Starbucks gets busy, but the barista just didn't seem to be turning out drinks as quickly as others in most Starbucks. Plenty of tables and seating here, which is great, especially for downtown.

Maybe that one day was just a bad day. I've been going back daily and things are back to normal. Good 4 star evaluation these past days. I've edited my first version to not use my impatient-ness that day to be bias against workers i see daily and and always provide smiles my way.

My $2.65 slightly-too-sweet tall green tea latte had this smidgen of wisdom for me today: "The test in life is not how far we go, but where we stand. Will we give in to selfishness and fear, or seek for others what we demand for ourselves: dignity and an equal chance?" Something to ponder, no?

Dang! I hope the Starbucks I am reviewing is the one with this address. I am not stupid, although some of my friends may argue different, but there are so many Starbucks on so many streets and corners, sometimes I gets confused. I used to work @ SBUX about 3 years ago, and I know if the baristas are giving adequate, good or great service. The big bad company corporate culture thrust upon Starbucks by the haters of success could not be more wrong. In fact, I found they took care of the employees above and beyond what I expected. Spearheaded sustainable farming and fair wage coffee, too. Starbucks also drills excellent service to the public as part of their training, and I can tell when the training took hold, and when it did not. The drinks can get crazy, as in crazy about the modifications you can ask for when ordering. Extra or less pumps? Got it. Half and half instead of milk? No problem. Cooler? Hotter? More shots? On Ice? All good. Have it your way. No! Wait! That is Burger King! Y'see? Sometimes I gets confused. I like the coffee anyway.

I am not a fan of coffee since I have a bad adversion to caffeine. Makes me a little too hyper for my own good. Plus who likes to talk to a person with a rapidly beating pulse making mush out of his words. Seeing as I have colleagues who apparently will die without their caffeine fix, I will join them for the get in line, order your drink, and wait to pick it up experience. Let me tell you, this particular location is good at getting this done right and fast. However, the door is hard to open when the wind is howling and prices are higher than a gallon of gas. I guess I realize why they call coffee liquid gold.

Every morning, Monday through Friday, I increase the revenues of Starbucks Corporation by $1.85. That's $9.25/week, $40.70/month or $488.40 a year. Ouch. I've been coming to the 44 Montgomery Starbucks for nearly 2 years. I get a Venti coffee to go, and run to my office. It's not super-exciting, but it works for me. The employees here are very friendly and know me by my code name "Jeff." Please don't blow my cover. If I don't get here by 7:30-7:45, the line gets a little too long. That's my only complaint. I wish they had pre-made coffee that you could just grab, pay, and go. Someone much smarter than I should be able to figure out the best way to keep coffee fresh and warm, while having it readily available. I bet you could make a lot of money if you came up with something like that. Any takers? Starbucks rocks! (Not just this one, but ALL of them). P.S. Bring back the white cups with the green logo, please! Those brown logos are depressing.

friendly service! but morning coffee runs can be tough. its right next to an entrance from bart/muni but the line can get nasty long if you go in the morning.

I had to actually write this review as my quicktip didnt allow enough characters. Again, I cannot reiterate how every morning this place is beyond crazy busy, but yet everyone knows your name and takes the time to chit chat PLUS my drink is perfect every single time. Not that a soy chai with no water is difficult to make, but at some places, the taste does vary every time I go (even at my former every morning stop). This location makes it just right every time!! You all in the morning ROCK!! XO Christine aka Molly ;)

One of my favorites! They have some of the nicest staff who brightens your day when you're feeling down! Barista Jose is awesome =D If I'm not near the BF's workplace or in Chinatown and I'm walking to Bart after work, I come here!

Service was fast and friendly in a large open space with plenty of soft seating. One star removed for SBUX still being woefully negligent on the vegan sweets front. See Peets for how to make great vegan cookies (4 varieties)

Another review another Starbucks. Near the heart of the Financial District lies the 44 Montgomery Starbucks. This store is huge. It has a ton of seating for a financial district Starbucks. I like the location because it is really for walking traffic only. There is absolutely no parking right near here. So what can you expect when you get to this sbux. Generally some very friendly employees although wait time might be more now due to recent labor cuts from the company. You can usually find seating here and it's a quite nice lobby for a sbux. There are 2 condiment bars, which I think is awesome but must be difficult to keep stocked and cleaned all the time. A full retail section which is rare for the downtown area considering all the potential theft. Lots and lots of bags of coffee (which I like since I like coffee!). Overall a nice layout. You might have to deal with some homeless which I am sure the staff is well aware of and doing the best they can. But it's a good location. All my drinks here have been good and they do have a warming oven for those looking for a breakfast sandwich or a retail sandwich warmed which is nice. A solid Sbux location although it has very limited hours.

I ordered a VENTI white mocha. If you don't know the Starbuck's lingo, VENTI is the VERY LARGE SIZE. Why, WHY WHY WHY was it less than half full of milk/espresso and the rest filled with foam? Over $4 for just enough milk to what, gargle? There wasn't even enough milk for me to make a pot of macaroni and cheese. Sad sad sad.

Great location! I guess I won't get any "Cool" ratings for this review, but I'm addicted to Starbucks, despite not liking their coffee very much. Yeah, it's weird, I know. Best location in the city though, at 44 Montgomery St. Also, Chipotle is close by, so breakfast and lunch are just around the corner from one another. Minus one star for being so crowded. I guess that's a good problem to have, though.

This starbucks is super busy. Tons of office walkers coming in out. Folks have their 1/2 hr meetings at tables and various college kids, hipster types hanging out all day at chairs/tables. I think b/c of the volume, the employees have to work very quickly so hence the quality is not as good as other starbucks in the city. There are a ton of starbucks within walking distance, so just go to another one for your drink/a seat.

Hello, my name is Anita B. and I am a Starbucksaholic. Yeah, I know, I know, most people hate Starbucks, it's the devil, you're an idiot for going there. I get it. That said, Im sorry, but the Shaken Iced Tea Lemonade w/Green Tea is freaking good. I also can't resist the Iced Sugar Free Non Fat 5 pump vanilla latte. Yes, I am also that jerk you hate with the long drink order. Oh well. They are super friendly, they know me and they always remember my drinks. They are seriously fast and it is right on my way to work. I love Starbucks. I also go to Peet's and CB&TL but no one can make my drinks like Starbucks.

Wow, what happened to this Starbucks? Has anyone else noticed that the completely new crew and the drop in efficiency? My drink used to be ready on the counter by the time I finished paying. Recently, they haven't even taken my order until I get to the register! What's up with that?

Ladies and Gentlemen, the emperor has no clothes. If you need more than 4 words to describe what you would like to drink for breakfast, you've already become a pain in someone's ass. Starbucks is the McDonald's of the 21st century. Stop fooling yourself.

I am a Starbucks whore... its one of the many type of whores i am. So when it comes to Starbucks, i know whats good and whats not. This Starbucks is phenomenol. I have never experienced a quicker Starbucks than this. By the time i finish paying, my drink is waiting for me at the counter. Even when the line is out the door, my wait time is 10 minutes tops. It is also conveniently located next to the Montgomery Bart Station. They make their espresso drinks right and they are really friendly. Some of them know my name and the filipino guy at the barista knows my drink by heart. Why go to another when they can fully accommodate?
